The GREAT Hospitality accreditation process covers the following areas:

HEALTH & SAFETY – dealing with legislative compliance and best practice in a wide range of areas, including:

  • Fire risk assessments
  • Electrical safety
  • Legionella
  • Contingency planning
  • Fire risk assessments
  • Carbon monoxide
  • Lift servicing
  • COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous To Health)

DATA PROTECTION – examining how businesses manage their duty of care with regard to Data Protection and GDPR legislation.

HOUSEKEEPING – looking at cleaning practices and control measures

ACCESSIBILITY – covering matters relating to guests with mobility and sensory needs.

SUSTAINABILITY – this section deals with a business’s approach to its environmental responsibilities.

HOSPITALITY – What measures are in place to ensure guest satisfaction, including complaints procedures?

In addition, all accredited businesses will have achieved, as a minimum, an FSA Food Hygiene Rating of 4, a TripAdvisor review score of 4 “bubbles” and/or a Booking.com of 8 (“Very Good”).
